It’s On My Heart! -- Rev. Bill Abrams

"Little Children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth." I John 3: 18

WHEN THE TIME WAS RIGHT FOR GOD TO show His love for you and me, he didn’t just do it through a written note, or even angelic messengers, but He Himself came to earth and rubbed elbows with humanity. The gospels record that Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten son, our Savior, came in flesh, and dwelt among us teaching us about the way of love but also demonstrating it every day through his ministry, death, and glorious resurrection.

HOW EASY IT HAS BECOME FOR US Believers to love the Christ Child through worship at Christmas but fail to demonstrate that same love through our deeds. Worship of Jesus Christ is vitally important to all believers, and I encourage you to participate in the many opportunities of worship at Cornerstone during the Christmas Season. However, it is important for us who have so much to be willing to share with others in need.

THIS PAST SUNDAY WE COLLECTED COATS for the needy in South Dakota and North Dakota which shall be distributed through a home missionary. We have already sent 27 book bags filled with clothes and Christmas gifts for the orphans in Romania through the Little Samaritan Mission.

THIS COMING SUNDAY WILL BEGIN THE Week of Prayer for Foreign Missions. Our goal is $1000 with opportunity for you to choose between the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, or the Little Samaritan Mission. Let us this Christmas demonstrate our love for God through deed, and truth, as well as word and tongue.
