EASTER, 2003

A special thanks to Janet Berry, Tanya Price, Tyler Young and the Adult Choir that provided beautiful sacred music during the Easter Season. The cantata, "The Song of The Shadows" helped all of us experience more fully the sorrow of our Lord during His time of Passion. Many of the worship services, Tenebrae, Maundy Thursday Lord's Supper, and Stations of the Cross were not captured on photos but will be long remembered in the hearts of those who participated.

It's On My Heart! By Rev. Bill Abrams

Children are special to us at Cornerstone Baptist Church. I have no doubt in my mind if only one group of people could come to church I believe Jesus would say, "Let the little ones come unto me and forbid them not for such is the Kingdom of God." The majority of us adults have already made our choice about Christ and His kingdom, but oh, how the children while they are young and impressionable need to be made aware of the love of God that we have come to know in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The world has taken notice of the children. For example, look at McDonalds or any of the hamburger chains how they target the children. They know the significance of reaching children at an early age and then they will have a customer for life. I make no apologies when I say we want to reach children at Cornerstone Baptist Church.

There are many Biblical examples of children in the Bible, who were sensitive to the Lord's leadership at a young age and God had great plans for them. Samuel, a young boy called to be the first prophet or Jeremiah who declared he was known by God in his mother's wom, or David called by God while still a shepherd boy to become King of Israel. Jesus Christ, at age 12, in the temple explained to his parents, "Did you not know that I must be about my Father's business."

The business of the Father is reaching and ministering to children and that is our business as well at Cornerstone Baptist Church.

Peace, Love, & Joy in Christ,
Rev. Bill Abrams
